The New York State Department of Health (the Department) is currently developing a set of Research Files (RFs) that will be available for researchers to request to purchase.

The Department is finalizing policies, processes, and safeguards for the release of All-Payer claims data RFs based on applicable laws. Release processes will require requests to be reviewed by a Data Governance Committee (DGC) and have appropriate approvals from an authorized Institutional Review Board (IRB).

All-Payer claims data are not currently available for researchers to purchase. It is anticipated that Limited RFs will be available for requests starting in 2026. More details will be released as they are available.
